Enrique Perrella new Aviation Director of Business Traveler

MIAMI, November 28, 2022 — Ink, the US publisher of Business Traveler, has named Enrique Perrella as its new Aviation Director. With more than a decade of experience in the aviation publishing industry, Perrella will assume editorial leadership and oversight for all functions related to commercial aviation within Business Traveler magazine, BusinessTravelerUSA.com, and The Business Traveler Show, airing on reachTV screens in airports across North America.

As an experienced journalist, editor and commercial pilot, Perrella brings bold expertise in the publishing industry and a deep technical background to the role. Perrella’s diverse experience across web, multimedia and journalism, as well as his reputation as a respected aviation editor, will help bolster Business Traveler’s aviation sector and continue to expand the company’s efforts with other organizations and the public.

“I am delighted to join Business Traveler as its new aviation director. Being part of an organization with such an impressive presence across 90 North American airports and 400,000 hotel guest rooms makes me proud and excited. I cannot wait to help develop Business Traveler’s print magazine, digital platforms and TV show through deep collaborations with key aviation partners,” said Perrella.

Perrella joins the Business Traveler platform from his role as publisher and editor-in-chief of Airways, a 30-year-old publication covering the commercial aviation industry through its printed magazine, website and podcast. As part of his previous work, Perrella turned around the magazine by rejuvenating, digitizing and making all its past editions available through a state-of-the-art digital app. He also launched the magazine’s first website, hosted its bi-weekly podcast, and led a team of more than 60 editors, writers and photographers. Perrella is also a part-time commercial pilot, flying a King Air 100 in the Caribbean.

“We are delighted to welcome Enrique to the Business Traveler team,” said Eric Newill, editor-in-chief of Business Traveler magazine. “His knowledge, authority and insight will give our readers a unique perspective on the aviation industry. He will be a key connection to aviation leaders, industry professionals and our audience who desire the latest and most in-depth news and analysis.”

The appointment of Perrella as aviation director follows a search led by Ink co-CEO Michael Keating.
