United has partnered with woman-owned skincare brand Asutra and local Hawaiian brand Ua Body to create new amenity kits for First Class passengers. The new kits will be distributed on premium transcontinental routes between west coast hubs and New York or between the continental U.S. and Hawaii.
“We’re really proud of these amenity kits – fantastic new partners, exclusive products, and high-end ingredients. Our customers are going to love them,” said Peter Wolkowski, Director of Onboard Product Design at United. “These kits, customized for our transcontinental and Hawaii-bound travelers, are just the latest way we’re working to make the travel experience even better at United.”
Transcontinental Amenity Kits
The Chicago-based carrier has launched amenity kits with Asutra for premium transcontinental routes. All of the products from the brand are cruelty-free and made without any bad-for-you ingredients. Each kit is made to help passengers flying cross-country feel refreshed before landing.
Within each kit will be various Asutra products, including cleansing face towelette, nourishing lip balm, and a hand lotion. All the products will be housed in a reusable, Asutra-branded pouch, including a bamboo toothbrush, toothpaste, ear plugs, and eye mask.

Hawaii-Bound Amenity Kits
In addition to the transcontinental kits, United is also launching specially-made amenity kits for its Hawaii routes.
The airline has partnered with Ua Body, a brand made, owned, and operated in Hawaii, to create the kits.
Each will include a lip balm, hand cream, and a refreshing face mist to refresh travelers before landing. The products utilize local scents and ingredients such as sandalwood, jasmine, coconut, and more. Every kit will also have an eye mask, bamboo toothbrush, toothpaste, and ear plugs.

All the Hawaii amenity kits will be stored in a reusable pouch featuring artwork from local artist Christine Shinn. Four different design options will be available, each with varying landscapes from the destination.
According to the airline, the kits will be distributed to approximately 65,000 total passengers flying these routes monthly. The kits were available onboard the specific routes beginning August 1.
Other domestic updates
Last month, United announced that it will be redesigning its domestic First Class seats to provide a more comfortable and luxurious experience for passengers.
The new seats will feature vegan leather upholstery, larger seatback screens, and tray tables, privacy panels, Bluetooth connectivity, Italian quartzite cocktail tables, wireless charging, and ergonomically-designed cushions.
The new seat design marked the airline’s first update to its domestic first-class fleet since 2015 and has already begun rolling out on Boeing 737s.
